Central London film location

In recent years, we have hosted eight major film shoots in addition to BBC’s Killing Eve and Netflix’s The Crown, with our Marble Hall and Council Chamber both proving popular thanks to their rare features.

1950s filming location to hire in London

The venue is home to a number of spaces, each unique, from Congress Hall, a 430sq ft, timber sprung floored conference centre, to the original modernist lifts complete with brass fittings. It also enjoys one of London’s few remaining floating staircases, original wooden panelling, restored parquet flooring, a famous Sir Jacob Epstein statue and the Congress Hall’s award-winning space-frame ceiling. Even the venue’s private underground car park is a popular choice for production.

The Marble Hall, looking out onto a view of one of Sir Jacob Epstein’s most famous statues, can’t help but create drama. The statue, which shows a woman holding her dying son – a soldier – stands on 172 glass hexagons, which makes up the ceiling of the Congress Hall below.

These original features make Congress Centre one of the most authentic 1950s filming locations to hire in London – but our originality doesn’t mean we compromise on facilities.

Experienced staff for experienced crew

As an experienced filming location in London, we understand what is important for your crew. Congress Hall has been used previously as catering space for crew members who are filming in other areas of the building.

Congress Centre has a private, secure underground car park on-site for crew members travelling with heavy equipment and, for those coming in by train, the venue is a three-minute walk from Tottenham Court Road underground station with Oxford Street and Covent Garden also nearby.

Filming with Congress Centre

We are proud of our venue and take its condition very seriously; we consider every filming request on an individual basis in order to preserve the building’s unique attributes as much as we can, so please get in touch to discuss your project.
