Those of you who aren’t on the wagon in January and still look forward to a tipple or two in the evenings are sure to enjoy Congress Centre’s warming cocktail of the month. It’s perfect for sipping slowly by a roaring log fire on a chilly winter evening.
75ml blended bourbon
25ml sweet vermouth
Dash of Angostura bitters
Combine the bourbon, vermouth and bitters in a mixing glass with some ice and gently stir. Place a maraschino cherry into a martini glass and strain the whisky mixture over the cherry. Rub the cut edge of an orange peel around the rim of the glass and twist over the drink to release the oils but do not drop into the drink. Sip slowly and enjoy!
