Major international TV industry event to be held at London’s Congress Centre
Realscreen, the world’s leading trade publication devoted to unscripted and documentary programming, is bringing its market leading events to the UK for the first time in October with the launch of Realscreen London. The inaugural event, which sold out months ago, takes place on 8th and 9th October 2014 and is the largest event ever held at hi-tech Congress Centre in Great Russell Street, London WC1. It aims to further strengthen links between UK and international film and TV producers and global buyers by fostering networking, exchanges of ideas and dialogue.
For the last 16 years the Realscreen Summit has taken place in Washington DC and has been hailed as "one of the most essential events in the international TV calendar for UK indies" by Broadcast magazine, whilst Realscreen West has successfully taken place in California for the past six years. This is the first time Realscreen has produced an event in the UK.
The event has attracted a host of high profile industry sponsors, with speeches and seminars being delivered by a large number of leading industry figures including: A+E Networks’ exec VP of international Sean Cohan; Wall to Wall’s Head of International Jonathan Hewes; Discovery Networks Western Europe’s senior VP and head of programming Daniel Korn; former National Geographic Channels US CEO David Lyle; and Sky Vision MD Jane Millichip to name but a few.
